We’re in Lower Clapton, close to Hackney Downs and Hackney Central stations. We’re a light and roomy nursery with two gardens – one for under 2s and one for pre-schoolers.
The nursery has great links to the wider community and many of our staff live locally. There are lots of activities to try from learning Spanish to cooking, construction, growing fruit and veg and more!
The children love to get out and about too, enjoying outings to the local shops and library.
Our chef provides all meals using recipes from LEYF’s menu.

Lema Begum, nursery manager
Hello and welcome! I have worked in early years education for many years, and caring for children is truly my career of choice. I’m fun-loving and a real people person. I enjoy bringing stories to life with props, singing, making up songs, and sparking children’s imaginations through creative play. My goal is to create a joyful, inspiring environment where every child feels excited to learn and explore.

Food and nutrition at LEYF
Healthy eating is important at LEYF. Our chefs, trained at our Early Years Chef Academy, understand children’s specific nutritional needs, and how to encourage children to be adventurous in their tastes. We cater for different dietary requirements and allergies.
