What we offer

We offer standard plans of two to five days per week, or five half-days. Our standard plans do not allow for bespoke booking patterns, as this impacts the operational running of the nursery.

We also have a limited number of spaces in each nursery offering Government-funded hours-only places  Please be aware that not all options are available at all our nurseries. Please discuss with your Nursery Manager to find out what is available to you.

We offer limited term-time only places within selected nurseries.

At LEYF, we take children’s nutrition very seriously. We  have a unique opportunity to influence the daily health and ongoing eating habits of our children by providing them with up to three meals and two snacks per day.

We can cater to some dietary requirements while always providing children healthy and nutritious meals and snacks.  LEYF has an important contribution to make to children’s healthy relationship with food alongside parents and carers.

Our philosophy at LEYF is to make sure that while children are in our care, they get a balanced diet of fresh, healthy and seasonal food, so that they get the nutrition that they need and develop good eating habits. LEYF’s Chefs are trained in our pioneering Chef Academy course which includes training on child nutrition and menu planning. This training empowers our Chefs to produce quality nutritious food for the children in our care.

Fee structure

LEYF nursery fees are always paid monthly in advance, on the first day of the month. When your child joins us, on a fee-paying place there is a registration fee.

All fee-paying offer letters will include a deposit payment in addition to a registration fee of £100 (non-refundable) which will need to be paid to secure your child’s nursery place. The deposit is half a month’s fees and is payable upon acceptance of an offer. The deposit is offset against your final bill, subject to six weeks’ notice.

We will give you detailed pricing information once you have selected your nursery and preferred days. We will also provide the complete fee sheet for your chosen nursery.  A range of discounts and surcharges are applicable depending on various factors. For more details, please contact us.

Subject to availability, extra sessions are available to purchase, up to two weeks in advance.

From September 2025 in line with updated government guidance, we will begin showing an itemised charge for meals and snacks during funded hours. The charge for Breakfast, Lunch , Tea and two snacks on a funded day is £4.97.

The  optional Green LEYF fee is added to all our bills – this is a small contribution of £2 to help us continue to lead the way in sustainability in the Early Years. To find out more about our sustainable approach to Early Years, go to Green LEYF – LEYF Nurseries

How do we calculate our fees?

For children who attend our nurseries all year round, places are charged at a fixed monthly rate. This is based on a 52-week year, split over 12 months.

If applicable, Government funding, which only covers term-time is stretched across the year accordingly. 30 hours of funding equates to 22 hours per week, and 15 hours of funding equates to 11hours per week. Funding is then applied to these hours on your bill, with any remaining hours charged at your nursery’s hourly rate (i.e. private hours).

Any discounts or surcharges are applied after taking into account the funded hours.

For children who are not eligible for government funding, all hours will be charged at your nursery’s hourly rate.

Meal charges will appear as an itemised charge on any sessions that are fully government funded only.   Private hour rate already include the cost of food. Term-time only places are charged monthly, based on the number of term-time sessions in the month.

Fees for any extra sessions are paid in advance. Discounts do not apply to extra sessions.
